Name: Goku (Kakarotto) Pun: Carrot Race: Saiyajin Roles: DB, DBZ, DBGT

Goku is the main character in Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT. The whole show revolves around him, and follow his adventures from when he was a young boy to a man. When Goku was a young boy, he was sent to Earth. He was supposed to wipe out all living things on the planet but he hit his head on a rock and lost his memory. Goku grows up good and pure hearted. He defends the Earth from many villians and protects people when in danger. He is by far the strongest character. He marries Chi-Chi, daughter of Gyuu Mao, and has two sons, Gohan and Goten, who also play very large roles in the series.

Name: Gohan Pun: Rice Race: 1/2 Saiyajin, 1/2 Human Roles: DBZ, DBGT

Son of Goku, and one of the main characters in Dragonball Z, Gohan grows up to be a very good fighter. He was first trained by Piccolo, after the death of Raditz and Goku. Throughout his early life, he looks up to Piccolo as an idol. Goku also helps train his son. With help from his father, Gohan was able to go Super Saiyajin during their training. In the Cell Game, Gohan turns Super Saiyajin 2 after Android 16 is killed and his friends are hurt. After this, Gohan focuses more on studying but remains a great fighter.

Name: Goten Pun: Air Race: 1/2 Saiyajin, 1/2 Human Roles: DBZ, DBGT

Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi-Chi. He is best friends with Trunks and they always look out for each other. They are almost equal in strength throughout the entire series. Goten turns Super Saiyajin at a very young age, seven. Although, he is strong, he tends to have a tantrum when he doesn't get his way. He and Trunks can fuse together into Gotenks.

Name: Kuririn Pun: Chestnut Race: Human Roles: DB, DBZ, DBGT

Kuririn is the strongest human of the Z team. He is a monk which is why he has six dots on his head. Throughout the series, Kuririn has died many times but he is always wished back with the dragonballs. He shaves his head regularly but later on he grows it out. Kuririn marries Android 18 and they have a daughter named Marron.

Name: Piccolo Pun: An instrument Race: Namek Roles: DB, DBZ, DBGT

Piccolo is the evil son of Piccolo Daimoa. He entered the Tenkaichi Boudoukai to fight against Gokou for revenge of his father's death but he was defeated. Years later, when Goku's evil brother Raditz comes to Earth, Piccolo becomes allies with Goku and helps him fight Raditz. After Goku's death, he trains Gohan. When the Saiyajins came to Earth, Piccolo was killed by Nappa but was brought back to life with the dragonballs. Later, he merges with Nail permenently then with Kami-sama. Throughout the series Piccolo is a good fighter and helps the Z team a lot.

Name: Tenshinhan Pun: Rice Race: Human Roles: DB, DBZ, DBGT

Well built and a good fighter, Tenshinhan is one of the strongest humans on the planet. He is the bodyguard and best friend of Chaozu. He made his first appearances early in Dragonball, where he beat Goku in the Tenkaichi Budoukai. Later on, he continues to train (unlike Yamcha) and becomes stronger. Tenshinhan is well known for his techniques Taiyoken and Kikoho.

Name: Trunks Pun: Boxer shorts Race: 1/2 Saiyajin, 1/2 Human Roles: DBZ, DBGT

Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma. When we first meet him, he is a teenager that came from the future. He came to warn the Z team of androids that will attack the Earth in a few years and to bring medicine for Goku's heart disease in the future. When the Trunks in the real time is born, Future Trunks goes back to his time. Like Goten, Trunks goes Super Saiyajin at a very young age, eight. He and Goten are best friends.

Name: Vegeta Pun: Vegetable Race: Saiyajin Roles: DBZ, DBGT

Vegeta was one of the last surviving Saiyajins after the destruction of his planet, Planet Vegeta. He is the prince of all Saiyajins and is a first-class Saiyajin. He is very strong but gets jealous at the fact that Goku (a lower class Saiyajin) is stronger than him. When he first came to Earth with Nappa, he was very evil and tried to destroy Goku. As time proceeds, Vegeta helps out the Z team more and more. His excuse is that he can't let Goku die because he wants to be the one that kills him.

Name: Yamcha Pun: A dish Race: Human Roles: DB, DBZ, DBGT

Yamcha was a desert bandit, with his cat Puar. He later joins Goku on his search for the dragonballs. In dragonball, he was a decent fighter but as he grows up he gets lazy and doesn't train as much. He was killed by a saibaman but brought back with the dragonballs.
