Akumaitokosen (Devil's Shine):
This is a special energy wave designed for a quick kill of one's opponent. When the wave strikes its victim, the evil in his heart expands and causes his heart to explode. Of course, the victim then must have some evil in his heart for the attack to work.
Who can use: Akkuman
Bakuhatsuha:
By raising two fingers, the user of this attack can create a large explosion that will totally decimate the surrounding area or the ground under an opponent.
Who can use: Nappa, Vegeta
Barrier:
This purely defensive technique forms a Ki-shield around the body that protects the user from Ki or similar attacks. There are two forms of this maneuver. One is a spherical shield that surrounds the body, the other is more of a coating of the body.
Who can use: Freeza, Super 17, Cell, Vegeta, Goku... every powerful character.
Big Bang Attack:
One of the first techniques Vegita developed as Super Saiyajin, the Big Bang Attack is a huge ki bolt of incredible destructive power. Vegita holds one flat palm forward towards his enemy and launches the bolt. This is the attack that took out Android 19.
Who can use: Vegeta
Bukujutsu (Fly):
This is the ability to fly with one's ki. Since almost all of the fights in the second series occurred at least partially in the air, this technique is used all the time during fights, as well as being used to go from place to place. Almost every character has this ability.
Who can use: Anyone who fights in DBZ except Yajirobe and Mr. Satan.
Burning Attack:
Future Trunks' trademark ki attack, this is a powerful energy blast shot from both hands. Trunks holds both hands forward, does some strange arm movements, and then puts both hands forward again, index fingers and thumbs touching. Then he releases the blast from the hole between his hands. Much like Tenshinhan's Kikoho.
Who can use: Future Trunks
Chobakuretsumaha:
This is Piccolo's ultimate Ki blast. He powers up the blast between the palms of his hands in front of his chest, then releases the blast. Very very powerful. This blast is known as "Gekiretsukodan" in the DBZ video games.
Who can use: Piccolo
Death Ball:
This is a small ball of energy which Freeza can create from either the tip of his finger or with both hands. While small, it is very powerful, and can even destroy planets.
Who can use: Freeza
Dodonpa:
One of the major techniques used, this is a blast shot from one finger, which explodes upon impact. The most basic Dodonpa is more powerful than the basic Kamehameha, but the Kamehameha can become more powerful of course. Who can use: Taopaipai, Tsurusennin, Chaozu, Tenshinhan.
Eraser Cannon:
This is one of the most powerful techniques of Rikum. It is a large, powerful Ki blast shot from the mouth, and can destroy in a very large radius from where it hits.
Who can use: Rikum
Eye Beam:
This technique was used a lot during the DB/DBZ series. It is basically a double ki blast shot from the eyes. While the blast itself is small, it explodes on impact to do a fair amount of damage, and can also be used to stop other ki blasts.
Who can use: Piccolo, Freeza, Android 20.
Final Flash:
This is Vegeta's ultimate ki attack, and he designed it to fight Cell after training in the Room of Spirit and Time. He charges all his ki into a small but really dense sphere in front of him and then releases a HUGE blast of energy. Just like Tenshinhan's Kikoho, the Final Flash can be devastating for Vegeta too. Who can use: Vegeta
Finish Buster:
The Finish Buster is Trunks' version of his father's Final Flash. Actually, the technique looks like something between Vegeta's Final Flash and Piccolo's Chobakuretsumaha. I'ts a huge and devastating ki blast, as effective as any of the techniques mentioned above.
Who can use: Trunks
Freeza Beam:
This is Freeza's trademark technique. It is a lot like the Dodonpa, being a beam of energy shot from one finger, but differs in that it does not explode on impact. Instead it is a piercing attack which continues through its target and can also be used to slice.
Who can use: Freeza, Cell.
Fusion:
This technique is used to fuse two people into a single person, and give the fused person a huge power boost. Anyone can do the Fusion, but you have to have the same power level as whoever you fuse with, and you must learn the correct pose and form. The Fusion lasts for 30 minutes before the fused person becomes two again. Dai Kaioshin has a special set of Potara earrings which allow people to fuse without the pose, and this fusion lasts forever. Who can use: Goku, Piccolo, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta.
Galick-Ho:
The Galick-Ho is Vegeta's answer to the Kamehameha. He powers up the blast like the Kamehameha, but when he releases the blast, his hands are both palm-forward.
Who can use: Vegeta
Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb):
One of Goku's most powerful techniques, taught to him by Kaio-sama, the Genki Dama is a large ball of energy gathered from nature, humans, etc., which lend him their energy. However, it takes time to gather a Genki Dama, and has to stick his arms up in the air, during which time Goku is open to attack.
Who can use: Goku
Hell's Flash:
In order to fire a blast with the most power, Artificial Human #16 takes off his hands, tucks them under his arms, and fires a powerful blast from the cannons under his wrists.
Who can use: Android 16
Honoo (Fire Breath):
Not a particularly important technique, but this is one of Dabura's more powerful blasts. It's just what it says, a powerful breath of fire.
Who can use: Darbura
Jan-Ken Punch:
Jan-ken-pon" is a Japanese game identical to that of "Rock, Paper, Scissors." Goku then has three different types of Jan-Ken Punches.
Jan-Ken-Gu: Corresponding to "Rock," "Gu" is a strong punch to the face.
Jan-Ken-Choki: Corresponding to "Scissors," "Choki" is an eye-stab with two fingers.
Jan-Ken-Pa: Corresponding to "Paper," "Pa" is an open-handed slap to the face.
Kaioken :
Taught to him by Kaio-sama, this is primarily a power-up move. When Goku uses this technique, he flares up and gains a large boost to his speed and power. Goku can also use multiplied power to his Kaioken. At first, he shouldn't have been able to go past 2 x Kaioken without seriously endangering himself, but eventually can increase the power of the Kaioken to around a 20 x Kaioken.
Who can use: Goku
Kamehameha:
Quite possibly the most commonly used special technique in all of the DB/DBZ series after the Generic Ki Blast. The Kamehameha needs no introduction, but what the hell. It was created by Mutenroshi 50 years before Goku appeared, and Goku learned to do it just by looking at it at the age of 10. It was the first ki technique used in the series, even though according to the series' chronology, the Kikoho is older. It's charged up held behind the firer in cupped hands, then brought forward to release a large blast of energy. Goku later develops the ability to control the direction of the blast, shoot one from his feet, or with a single hand, shoot several from the same blast and leave'em ecstatic in one place to activiate'em at distance. Also, he later develops a Cho-Kamehameha with even more power than the standard fare. The Kamehameha is one of the most versatile techniques ever created, and can become incredibly strong. Goten can use it as well, but misprounounces it as "Kamekameha." Who can use: Mutenroshi, Goku, Gohan, Goten, Yamcha, Kuririn, Tenshinhan, Cell, Cell Junior, Majin-Buu.
Kiaiho:
An invisible force attack that knocks one's opponent back. It can be shot either from an open palm or from the eyes.
Who can use: Goku, Freeza
Kienzan :
This is another attack that is used quite frequently during the second series. It was created by Kuririn and first used against Nappa. It is a flat, disc-shaped Ki blast, which can be used to slice through its target with deadly accuracy. The Kienzan can also be controlled by the firer and broken into smaller kienzans if blocked with another ki blast.
Who can use: Kuririn, Vegeta, Freeza, Cell, Android 18
Kikoho:
This is Tenshinhan's strongest ki blast. He puts the tips of his fingers of both hands together, forming kind of an "O" between his fingers and his thumbs. Then he shoots a very powerful Ki blast through the "O" at his opponent. While this attack is very powerful, it is also extremely damaging to Tenshinhan, and can kill him if he uses it too much. Later on Tenshinhan develops this technique to become the Shin Kikoho, which is even more powerful, and the Kikohoda, wich can be shot from one hand.
Who can use: Tenshinhan
Mafuuba:
This is a special Ki blast that is used to imprison demons. It is a swirling blast of energy shot at the intended demon. Once caught in the blast, the blast is directed into a jar, bottle, or other imprisonment container, thus imprisoning said demon. However, if the container is opened, whoever is trapped inside will be freed. This technique is also extremely draining; it is very easy to kill oneself by overexertion using this attack. The originator of this technique is Mutaito, Mutenroshi's master.
Who can use: Mutaito, Mutenroshi, Tenshinhan, Kami-sama
Makankosappo (Special Beam Cannon):
One of Piccolo's most powerful techniques, this is a penatrating blast shot from two fingers. It is actually two blasts, one going straight ahead and the other coiling around the first for drilling power. This attack drills through everything it hits, and eventually blows up when it hits something big enough.
Who can use: Piccolo, Cell, Cell Junior
Masenko:
This is Gohan's trademark energy blast, and is fairly powerful, more than a basic Kamehameha. The name suggests it was derived from Piccolo's Makosen. Gohan powers up a blast over his head with both his hands, one palm behind the other, then brings his hands down in front of him to fire the blast. Gohan used this blast fairly often during the second series, especially during the Freeza saga.
Who can use: Son Gohan
Mystic Attack:
There's nothing really mystic about this attack, it's actually a natural Namek ability. It was first used by Piccolo at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai. He extends his arms to grab and attack an enemy from a distance and pulls him back.
Who can use: Any Namek-seijin
Renzoku Energy Dan:
While many characters can use this technique, the undisputed master of this technique is Vegeta. The user of this technique can shoot ki bolts continuously from his hands, resulting in somewhat of a "machine-gun blast" effect. While the indivual blasts are not particulary powerful, the effect of hundreds together can be devastating.
Who can use: Vegeta, Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Kuririn.
Sekikatsuba:
This is one of Darbura's powerful attacks. Darbura's saliva will tun whatever it hits to stone, whether it's alive or not. The only way to reverse the petrification is to kill Darbura.
Who can use: Darbura
Shiyoken:
This is a technique used by Tenshinhan to sprout an extra set of arms from his shoulders. Therefore he can both attack and block with all four arms, significantly increasing his attack and defense power.
Who can use: Tenshinhan
Shunkanido:
Not a fighting technique, but often used to gain a tactical advantage in a fight. The Shunkanido is a teleport. The user places two fingers on his forehead, searches for a ki he wants to go to, then when he finds it, can teleport there. It is not a technique that one can use to teleport wherever he pleases, there must be a person there to teleport to.
Who can use: Goku, Cell
Sokidan:
This is a round energy ball shot from the palm of the hand. What is really special about this attack is that it is guided, probably the most easily guided energy attack in the first series. It was first used during the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai.
Who can use: Yamcha
Taiyoken (Solar Flare):
This technique was created by Tenshinhan. The user puts his hands in front of his face, says "Taiyoken," and lights up very bright, so much that he blinds his opponent. This technique was used a lot througout Dragonball Z.
Who can use: Tenshinhan, Goku, Kuririn, Cell, Piccolo
Zanzoken:
Another technique created by Mutenroshi, with this technique, the user can move so fast he leaves an after-image, while attacking from another standpoint. Goku can leave multiple images. Later Mutenroshi learns to make large numbers of images as well. Piccolo has an identical technique, but he names it "Sansouken."
Who can use: Goku, Mutenroshi, Kuririn, Tenshinhan
