After Raditz's death, the last surviving Saiyajins, Nappa and Vegeta, head towards Earth but it will take them one year. The other Z fighters start training to prepare for the two Saiyajins. Goku (dead) heads towards Kaio-sama's Planet to train in heaven. However to get there, he must follow Snake Way, a 10,000 mile path. Meanwhile, while the Z fighters are training, Piccolo goes off with Gohan to train him and teach him how to use his powers. Goku arrives at Kaio-sama's Planet and begins his training. Here, he learns Kaioken and Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb).

One year after the death of Raditz and Goku, the two Saiyajins arrive at Earth. Before battling the Z fighters they have some fun terrorizing some large cities. Goku has not returned from Kaio-sama's yet and the Z fighters must hold the Saiyajins off until he arrives. The Saiyajins plant six little green aliens called Saibamen. Before they could destroy all the Saibamen, Yamcha was killed by one of the creature's self-destruct technique. Nappa decides to have a little fun beating up on the Z team. Chaozu uses his self-destruct attack on Nappa, taking his own life, however it barely scratches him. Tien puts up a good fight before being killed by Nappa. Next, Nappa kills Piccolo after saving Gohan's life. Finally, Goku arrives.

Freeza Saga

Goku sets off for Namek in a specially designed spaceship, training hard in 100 times gravity. Meanwhile, Piccolo, Yamcha, Tien, and Chaozu served as Kaio's pupils. Vegeta was also healed and stronger than ever, heading for Namek for the dragonballs and the hatred for Goku in his black heart. Once on Namek, Vegeta is able to kill Dodoria and Kiwi, but struggles with Zarbon. The first time they fight, Zarbon transforms into a larger and uglier monster and whoops Vegeta. Later, Vegeta fights him again and kills him.

Freeza kills all the Namekian villages and villagers except Nail, Dende, and Guru. Meanwhile, Vegeta captures all the seven dragonballs (with six from Freeza and one from Kuririn, Gohan, and Bulma). As a desperate measure, Freeza summons The Ginyu Force, a team of five strong fighters. Even with their ki increased by Guru and with Vegeta assisting them, Kuririn and Gohan are no match for the Ginyu Force. Gerudo takes on Kuririn and Gohan while the other members take the dragonballs to Freeza. Vegeta saves Kuririn and Gohan when they are in trouble and destroys Gerudo. Meanwhile Freeza is unable to activate the dragonballs without the password. He flies to Guru to seek out the answer. Luckily, Goku arrives to kill Rikum and Bata then defeat Jese, allowing Vegeta to kill him off. Ginyu knows he could not surpass Goku's power so he switches bodies with him. The battle concludes with Goku returning to his own body, but very badly injured from the fight, and Ginyu ends up trapped in a frog's body. Goku must recover from the fight.

Gohan, Kuririn, and Dende are able to obtain the dragonballs from Freeza. They summon Porunga (the Namek eternal dragon) who can grant them THREE wishes. First they wish to bring Piccolo back to life then they wish to bring him to Namek. Their third wish would be for Vegeta to have immortality but Porunga suddenly disappears without giving them their third wish. Freeza killed Guru (the creator of the dragonballs) therefore killing the dragonballs and Porunga too. Freeza returns to the scene and injures Kuririn and Gohan, but Dende has the ability to heal them. Soon, Freeza tranforms into his second form, but Piccolo merged with Nail, starts beating Freeza. Freeza then transfoms into his third form, while Goku was recovering in Freeza's ship from the battle with Ginyu. After undergoing his transformation to his fourth and final form, Freeza kills Vegeta.

Goku is finally healed and executes a Genki Dama desperately at Freeza. Then, an injured Freeza kills Kuririn out of rage. This triggers Goku to become exremely angry and he turns Super Saiyajin. Once Piccolo was revived, Kami was also brought back to life. With the help of Mr. Popo, he gathers the seven Earth dragonballs and wishes everyone on Planet Namek back to Earth except for Goku and Freeza. An intense battle has now developed. Super Saiyajin Goku is defeating Freeza, becoming stronger every minute. With his last strength, Freeza throws a blast at the planet, triggering it to blow up in five minutes. He then throws Kienzan fireballs at Goku but accidentally cuts himself in half. Goku gives Freeza some of his energy to save his life but Freeza comes back and just tries to kill him again. Goku defeats Freeza once and for all and rushes to get off the planet before it blows up. However, the planet explodes before Goku can take off and there is no trace of our hero...
